This Privacy Policy explains how Business Listings India collects, uses, stores and displays information when you use our website, submit a business listing, request verification, or contact us.

1. Information We Collect

• Business name, category and business address.
• Calling/mobile number and WhatsApp number.
• Business description and business photographs you choose to upload.
• Owner/contact person information where you provide it.
• Business location coordinates when you choose to use the current-location feature.
• For the ₹199 Verified Listing, payment reference/UTR and payment-related information submitted by you.
• Technical information such as browser/device information and server logs may also be processed for security and website operation.

2. How We Use Information

We use submitted information to create and manage listings, display business information to website visitors, process verification requests, review UPI payment references, communicate with business owners, prevent misuse, maintain security, and improve the platform.

3. Public Business Information

Information submitted for a public business listing may be displayed publicly, including business name, category, address, calling number, WhatsApp number, photographs and business location/map information, depending on the listing type and information you provide.

4. Location Information

The current-location feature is optional. If you use it, your device may provide latitude and longitude so that we can associate the listing with its business location. You should use the feature only when you are authorised to submit that location.

5. Payments

The ₹199 Verified Listing payment is made through UPI. We do not ask you to provide your UPI PIN, OTP or banking password to us. We may retain the UTR/transaction reference that you submit for payment verification and record-keeping.

6. Data Sharing

We may use service providers necessary to operate the website, hosting, communications, security or payment-related workflows. We do not state that your personal information is sold to third parties. Information that you intentionally submit as public business listing information can be visible to website visitors.

7. Retention and Deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including listing management, verification records, security, dispute handling and legal obligations. You may contact us to request correction or deletion of information, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.

8. Your Choices and Requests

Where consent is the basis for processing, you may request withdrawal or raise a data-related request by contacting us. We may need to verify the identity or authority of the requester before acting on a request.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

The platform is intended for business listing and business-owner use. Do not submit another person's personal information without appropriate authority.

Business Management Panel

When an authorised business owner or manager uses the private business management panel, submitted profile information and change requests may be stored and reviewed for listing management, moderation, verification, security and publication. Changes may remain pending until reviewed where the platform requires approval.
